2022 Week 8

I came to TWA thinking that it was not likely going to be very impactful for me. I thought I would enjoy some good food, beautiful country and get to fly fish. Well I did enjoy amazing food, beautiful country and awesome fishing but so much more! I discovered so much about myself and about the most significant things of life.

Adventure is something I have always needed. It recharges my soul and reminds me of how beautiful this life truly is. This week has provided me with great stories and renewed spirit.

Real men sharing real life experiences. Learning and growing together in an amazing location. Not the typical men's retreat.

This was a unique week with a group of great guys! There was adventure, big fun and huge conversations. I have never experienced anything like it that was so significant to my heart!

It was a wonderful week of getting to know yourself and a group of great guys. More importantly, it was a week to be vulnerable and see others are too…and that's ok and it provides a sense of strength and freedom.

This has honestly and humbly been the most refreshing week of my life. I have been able to restore my faith in Christ, develop new and lifelong relationships, and most importantly become a better man, husband and father.

An amazing location, great fishing, a chance to look inward and peel back the onion of your life. an opportunity to take your faith journey farther and meet some great men!

2022 Weeks

The Wild Adventure is transformational! TWA has created a space, an environment and safe place for men to be real. to let down their guard and truly look at themselves. It's life changing.

This time was a powerful time to connect with other men. To pursue Jesus and life from a new lens and grow in my own heart and relationship with Jesus. And we had great fishing too!

If you want to be challenged with taking a look into your heart and discovering who God made you to be, the Wild Adventure is for you. The Fakers, Liars and Inauthentic need not apply. This is for men who are serious about God, their family and His purpose for their life.

The opportunity to have your heart and soul to a group of men, most of whom are strangers, is incredibly powerful. Partnering with them is life changing and inspiring.

It was so much more than fly fishing. The discussions fostered real conversations about real issues with real men. I took it on faith and was able to experience the Blessing.

I came to the Wild Adventure with some hesitation as to the content and methods that would be used to explore my heart, but I found a loving and accepting and safe environment in which we could explore the wounds and face some realities of what we needed to do to experience some healing.

Unexplainable really…yet fully engaging, inwardly transformative and renewing through and through. With plenty of fish to be caught.

At the Wild Adventure I experienced the thrill of setting the hook on a rainbow trout and reeling her in; I saw the sunrise over majestic mountains and savored meals around a table filled with conversations and laughter. But most of all I connected with God intimately and was pushed beyond my expectations, so I leave a fuller man and expand to live life for God's glory at home.

Wild Adventure was an amazing week with Godly men enjoying time with God out in his creation and in discussion and prayer. The recreational activities are such a joy in a beautiful place, while striving to be joyful in your relationship with the Lord.

Distractions often keep me from my true joys. TWA removes distractions and focuses on what truly matters, with a band of brothers. The experience renewed me and strengthened me for living fully alive.

This time provided the environment for God to speak to me through the raw, completed and beautiful life-stories of the men here with me. The truth, I struggle to accept above myself – that God loves me unreservedly, that He values me tremendously, that He pursues me doggedly – these were so evident in others' stories that I was able to accept these truths for myself as well.

The week at Smiling Moose Lodge was a wonderful chance to hear from God in the beauty of the Montana mountains, in the company of old and new friends, with amazing food, rich conviction and plentiful trout to bait.

This time provided the environment for God to speak to me through the raw, completed and beautiful life-stories of the men here with me. The truth, I struggle to accept above myself – that God loves me unreservedly, that He values me tremendously, that He pursues me doggedly – these were so evident in others' stories that I was able to accept these truths for myself as well.

Getting away from the daily grind and unplugging and spending time in God's creation at the breathtaking Smiling Moose Lodge helped me become fully alive.

When first invited to participate from a friend, I knew I wasn't a fly fisherman and had no clue how to fish. However, I had heard Montana was beautiful and I knew 7 or 8 of the other men in the group so I said YES and looked forward to getting to know them better and being enriched by God and the others. By the way, I ended up loving the fishing too.

To remove yourself from what is the everyday and reflect on what is the eternal.

Hey guys, This past week I went to TWA in Montana. It was one of the best weeks I have had in the last couple of years. I unplugged, relaxed, laughed, cried at times and sat in the presence of God.

This is a must do bucket list event, that is a life change on so many levels. It is fun, transformational and more than worth taking the time and money to invest in your future and relationships.

The brotherhood of 10 guys sharing openly their hearts and their lives has helped me find my heart.

Nowhere have I been in the company of men so dedicated to the spiritual success of each other. My heart is filled with joy that I can share with my wife, my friends and my children.

TWA was an incredible experience for me because I was able to re-connect with God and my Christian brothers in the most beautiful and relaxing place in Montana. TWA is a perfect combination of fly fishing, Christian fellowship and soul-searching prayer time.

What a great week! Listening to others share their story was powerful. But sharing my own was even more so – for my future walk with the Lord and loved ones.

I wasn't sure what to expect from TWA, but agreed at least I'd get to meet some Christian men and fish. Boy was I wrong. TWA was transformational! I'll try to describe the young guns experience without going into cliches or grandiose statements – an impressive, open-minded group of men who fly fish in the most private, beautiful part of Montana and have the time and space to talk about what matters to them.

The organizational side of this men's ministry is amazing. George's leadership is invaluable. Ed's organizing the return travel was amazing. The airlines were changing and cancelling flights left and right but somehow he made it work for everyone.

Making an impression on my soul that will last forever. Great guys are a bonus.

We need more ministries that address men's issues. This program was life changing in many ways and it opened up the door for long lasting friendships with men who will be there to fellowship with and strengthen my walk with God.

TWA clearly outlined and opened my heart and mind to the questions that I have been asking for years.
